DCPLA Presents Grant at March 14 Daly City Council Meeting

On March 14, DCPLA President Trisha deVera presented City Council of Daly City with a grant of $9000 that we received from the Carl Gellert and Celia Berta Gellert Foundation to support the Serramonte LibraryBranch with the purchase of a Rigamajig Building Kit and books for the youth on the U.S. States.

The Rigamajig Building Kit promotes focus on science, technology, engineering, math, and art through hands-on, inquiry-based learning to provide children opportunities for creativity, innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking.

The books for the youth on U.S. States is a refresh of the current catalog at the Serramonte branch. This refresh will ensure that our students have on hand updated information in order to complete their Oschool assignments.

DCPLA is grateful for the continued support of the Carl Gellert and Celia Berta Gellert Foundation to help our libraries serve our communities in the best way possible.
