Driving Folks Crazy (About Cars)

September 2018 marked our first annual Crazy About Carsevent, drawing over 650 people and raised over $20,000 for our libraries!

On November 13, 2018, a grant of $30,000 for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) laptops, books and other resources was given to our Daly City City Council for our libraries.

Acclaim for Crazy About Cars was universal: “Crazy About Cars is our new iconic car event.” “We’re coming back next year!”   “Let’s make it bigger next year!”  

 

We couldn’t agree more – make sure to keep Saturday, September 14, 2019 open!

St. Patrick's Day Luncheon

DCPLA hosted their annual luncheon and the attendees supported three "fund the need" activities for the Daly City Library.

Teen Space at Serramonte Library

Thanks in great part to The Carl Gellert & Celia Berta Gellert Foundation, this newly carved out space held a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 15th with several of the teen artists in attendance. Foundation representative, Carol Conroy, told the guests how excited they were to be a part of creating this new space for teens.  Stop by and look at the artwork next time you visit Serramonte Library!
